International Champions Cup Awards $10,000 Scholarships To Eleven South Florida Students

 

MIAMI – Relevent Sports, a division of RSE Ventures, today announced eleven South Florida students will be awarded $10,000 scholarships. All scholarship recipients plus a guest will receive a free ticket to this Saturday’s International Champions Cup presented by Heineken game at Hard Rock Stadium between Real Madrid CF and F.C. Barcelona. Below are the student recipients.

 

  • Cheyenne Ferrin, Charles W. Flanagan High School, Broward County
  • David Espantoso, Mater Academy Charter High, Miami-Dade County
  • Jordano Granados, Cypress Bay High School, Broward County
  • Sandruny Fortune, Miami Northwestern Senior High School, Miami-Dade County
  • Giovani Marks, Booker T. Washington, Miami-Dade County
  • Mikaela Flaherty, Miramar High School, Broward County
  • Marvens Mertune, William H Turner Technical Art High School, Miami-Dade County
  • Khareem Oliver, Coral Gables Senior High School, Miami-Dade County
  • William Fierro, Cypress Bay High School, Broward County
  • Chyanne Dennis, American Heritage High School, Broward County
  • Frantz Paul, North Miami Beach Senior High School, Miami-Dade County

These eleven students are graduated high school seniors who demonstrated a financial need to attend college, has a 2.5 GPA (B average or comparable on the scale) or higher and submitted a 300-500 word essay on the impact the game of soccer has made in their life.

 

The 2017 International Champions Cup presented by Heineken runs from July 19 – 30 and features 12 matches played across 11 cities throughout the United States. In total, eight teams from around the globe, including England (Manchester United F.C., Manchester City F.C., Tottenham Hotspur F.C.), Italy (Juventus F.C., AS Roma), France (Paris Saint-Germain F.C.) and Spain (FC Barcelona, Real Madrid C.F.) will compete in this year’s tournament.
